Narayanankulangara Temple The Temple is situated about 1 km away from Guruvayur Temple, towards north in Mammiyur Desam. It was formerly associated with the now extinct Nelliyur illam. In November 1993 the administration of this Temple was completly handed over by the local committee. The Meenappooram which used to be celebrated here, came to an end with the invasion of Tippu of Mysore. But the ancient local festival Pattu with Thalappoly on the last day is still being celebrated during the first 10 days of Makaram (In January). 2) Thamarayur:

This Temple also is situated about 2 kms north of the Guruvayur Temple. It was owned by the illam of the same name. The deity is Ayyappan. This Temple Administration was completely handed over by the local committee on 20th march 1996. The Temple, with its santhy and Kazhakam is being maintained by the Guruvayur Devaswom now.
